The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a resolution regulating the functioning of the information and communication system "State Agrarian Register" (DAR). This decision was another step towards the digitalization of the agricultural sector and strengthening its institutional potential.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, emphasizing that the adopted resolution also covers the procedure for the functioning of the State Register of Agricultural Producers. These tools should provide prompt access to analytical data necessary for effective management of the agricultural sector.

Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitaly Koval noted that the new system will contribute to the expansion of digital tools in agricultural policy, increase the efficiency of state administration, and create conditions for supporting agricultural producers and water user organizations.

DAR will allow to identify all agricultural producers, as well as their activities, which will become the basis for transparent monitoring of the agricultural sector. A streamlined accounting system of market participants will allow to better assess the needs of the industry and direct state support to where it is most needed.

The resolution also provides for the integration of DAR with other state databases and cadastres, which will allow to unify and update information, eliminating data duplication. In addition, special attention is paid to the protection of personal information and ensuring cybersecurity, which complies with the current legislation of Ukraine and European standards.

Separately, the government emphasized that the implementation of these decisions is part of the fulfillment of Ukraine's obligations under the Ukraine Facility program, which provides for transparent and effective state support for the agricultural sector through DAR mechanisms. This, in turn, will contribute to Ukraine's integration into the European economic space and the development of sustainable agriculture.
