The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has taken an important step to improve the system of taxation of land shares. According to the new Resolution No. 1078, a pilot project of mass land valuation has been launched, which provides for the creation of a geographic information system and the introduction of new rules for calculating taxes and fees for land plots.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine announced this step in improving the taxation system. The pilot project involves several important steps, including integration with the geographic information system of the State Land Cadastre, creation of a mathematical and statistical model for land valuation, and an automated system for calculating and updating mass valuation indicators.

According to the plan, the project will last 11 months. This project is being developed in accordance with legal requirements and is intended to simplify the process of land valuation for taxation.

The results of the mass land valuation will be used to calculate taxes and fees for land shares, i.e. they will become the basis for determining the tax liabilities of landowners. According to the new rules, this project will allow for more accurate determination of taxes and fees, which will simplify the taxation of land plots.

It is also worth noting that the State Service of Geodesy and Cartography has already developed a digital topographic map and topographic database for the entire country. This is an important step in improving the system of land valuation and taxation. Now, the public cadastral map of Ukraine has a new layer "Information on the division of land into shares," which contains data on collective agricultural enterprises and links to download metadata of land management projects.
