A new stage in the support of combatants and people with war-related disabilities has been marked in Ukraine with the launch of a government pilot project. According to the initiative, combatants and people with disabilities can receive vocational training at the State Employment Service for free.
According to the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, 53 applications have already been submitted, and 25 people have already been sent to training. The decision to implement this initiative was made by the Cabinet of Ministers on September 15.
The training has already started at the vocational education centers of the State Employment Service in Kharkiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Lviv, Poltava, Sumy, Rivne and Ivano-Frankivsk. Candidates can choose professions or training programs from the list approved by the Ministry.
Participants are provided with free accommodation, as well as reimbursement of travel expenses for those who will study outside the place of official registration. The training process may result in a full or partial professional qualification, as well as the issuance of a state-issued diploma.
To apply for this service, you need to fill out an online form at edveteran.dcz.gov.ua, which will be automatically sent to the relevant employment center. After that, you should wait for a message from a career counselor and follow the further instructions that will be sent to the specified email address and contact phone number. There is also an option to apply in person to the nearest employment center for advice and application.
