In November 2024, Ukrainians spent more than 10.2 billion hryvnias on the purchase of new passenger cars. This amount exceeded last year's figure by 12%, although compared to October, expenses decreased by 8%. This was reported by the Ukravtoprom association.
Almost half of the funds spent were accounted for by the five most popular brands, which confidently hold their positions in the Ukrainian market. The leader in sales volume was the Japanese brand Toyota. Ukrainians paid 1.631 billion hryvnias for cars of this brand. This result keeps Toyota at the top of the popularity rating.
The second place was taken by the German brand BMW, for the purchase of which 1.052 billion hryvnias were spent. High demand for premium models ensures stable interest in this brand among Ukrainian buyers.
Volkswagen was in third place. Cars of this brand cost Ukrainians 945 million hryvnias. Slightly less, namely 853 million hryvnias, was spent on the Audi model, which took fourth place. Mercedes-Benz closed the top five with a total expenditure of 731 million hryvnias.
The top ten most popular car brands in November also included Skoda, Renault, Lexus, Land Rover and Porsche. These brands continue to be in demand due to their reliability, technological sophistication and wide selection of models.
According to Ukravtoprom, the total amount spent by Ukrainians on new passenger cars since the beginning of 2024 has reached 114.5 billion hryvnias. This is 19% more than in the same period last year. This result demonstrates the recovery of the car market after the challenges caused by the war and economic difficulties.
