On 2 August, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the economic development of Zakarpattia region in a video address and highlighted important projects that will contribute to the sustainable growth of the region and the whole of Ukraine.

During his working visit to Zakarpattia, the President held a meeting on the security and social situation in the region. One of the key areas of work is the relocation of businesses and the creation of new jobs in various communities of the region. The President noted that this will help support economic growth and improve the living standards of local residents.

In addition, he stressed the importance of projects aimed at rehabilitating Ukrainian soldiers. Such initiatives, according to Zelenskyy, are appropriate and necessary to support and return heroes from the frontline to a full life.

The President placed a special emphasis on the opportunities for economic development in Zakarpattia, which have remained untapped for decades. One of these promising projects is the development of a salt deposit. According to the head of state, this deposit can supply table and industrial salt for the whole of Ukraine.

Government officials will discuss other projects aimed at economic development in the region. The President believes that Zakarpattia will become one of the growth drivers for the whole country, contributing to the improvement of the social standard of living of citizens.

Zelenskyy stressed the importance of local authorities and the government working together to stimulate economic growth and development in all regions of Ukraine. Strengthening the investment attractiveness of Transcarpathia and promoting job creation are key tasks that will help ensure a sustainable and balanced economic future for the country.
