The State Energy Supervision of Ukraine is actively preparing for the upcoming 2023/2024 heating season, and according to official data, 5,569 heat supply facilities have been confirmed as ready for operation. This includes 422 heat sources and 5,147 heating facilities for heat consumers.
This was reported by the press service of the State Energy Supervision Service, which actively monitors the preparation of energy companies in the field of heat supply for work in the cold season.
The State Energy Supervision Service's specialists join the work of commissions responsible for checking the readiness of heating companies to operate in the autumn and winter period at the request of entities in the field of heat supply.
Based on the results of the work of these commissions and with the support of the territorial offices of the State Inspectorate for Energy Supervision, the readiness of 5,569 heat supply facilities was confirmed. Among them are 422 heat sources and 5,147 heat supply facilities for consumers.
Additionally, 2,224 energy facilities were inspected, including 329 heat sources with heat networks connected to them, as well as 1,895 heating systems for consumers. As a result of the monitoring, 4,000 violations of heat supply rules and regulations were identified, and recommendations on possible technical solutions were provided. As of today, 557 observations have been eliminated, and the State Energy Supervision Service continues to monitor the correction of the remaining observations.
According to the results of the inspections, heat generating, heat transporting, and heat supply organizations tested 8.9 thousand kilometers of heating networks, and heat consumers, including healthcare, education, and preschool institutions, carried out hydropneumatic flushing of heating systems at 3,526 facilities and conducted hydraulic tests of heating systems for density and strength at 3,644 facilities.
In addition to all these measures, the State Energy Supervision Service is coordinating the monitoring of heating facilities affected by the hostilities. As of the end of August this year, 1153 damages to heat supply facilities were recorded.
Ensuring the reliability and efficiency of heat supply systems is one of the key tasks on the way to ensuring the comfort and safety of the population during the cold season, and the State Energy Supervision plays an important role in this process.
