Last week, the eHouse program provided 188 Ukrainians with the opportunity to obtain housing loans totaling UAH 282 million. Since the start of the program, 3,471 families have already taken out preferential mortgage loans worth almost UAH 5 billion. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Nadiia Bihun.
"Since the launch of the eHouse program, 3,471 Ukrainian families have already received preferential loans for the purchase of housing for a total amount of almost UAH 5 billion. Most of them - more than 70% - are families of military personnel and law enforcement officers who can take out a loan on favorable terms - at 3%. As well as doctors, teachers and scientists. Starting from August 1, all Ukrainians who do not have their own housing or need to improve their living conditions can take out a loan under the program. The loan rate for them is 7%. We are seeing an increase in demand for these loans - for the second week in a row, 25% of the loans issued were granted at 7%. Last week, banks issued UAH 282 million in mortgage loans to Ukrainians," the official said.
The "eHouse" program became effective on August 1 and provides an opportunity to obtain a mortgage loan with a reduced rate for the purchase of housing for those Ukrainians who do not have their own housing or need to improve their living conditions. This category includes military personnel, law enforcement officers, doctors, teachers and scientists. For this group, the loan rate is 3%, while for other Ukrainians who can also benefit from the program, the rate is 7%.
The eHouse program has already received significant demand among Ukrainians, and the Deputy Minister of Economy emphasizes that it stimulates the development of the real estate market and provides citizens with the opportunity to improve their living conditions and realize their dream of owning a house or apartment.
