Ukrainian farmers continue to actively sow winter crops, demonstrating impressive agricultural performance. As of mid-October this year, almost 4.5 million hectares of winter crops have been sown in Ukraine.
In total, winter crops have been sown on 3,343 thousand hectares, including 3,018 thousand hectares of wheat, 260 thousand hectares of barley and 63 thousand hectares of rye.
Over the past week, farmers increased the area under winter grain by 760 thousand hectares. Volyn region farmers are leading the way, having already sown 97% of the projected area.
Winter rapeseed sowing is also progressing well, with 1,124 thousand hectares sown so far. Last week, the area increased by 13.4 thousand hectares.
The impressive volumes of winter crops sown demonstrate the productive work of Ukrainian farmers and their readiness to ensure a stable harvest for the upcoming harvest season.
