As of October 20 this year, Ukrainian farmers have already harvested and threshed an impressive crop of grains and oilseeds, contributing 57.6 million tons to the national budget. Zaporizhzhia is one of the regions that has already completed the grain harvest.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Grain and leguminous crops were harvested on an area of 8,275.3 thousand hectares with a yield of 47.4 centners per hectare. During this period, 39,228.2 thousand tons of grain were harvested, including the following types

Wheat: harvested from an area of 4,694.5 thousand hectares with a yield of 47.6 centners per hectare, with 22,359 thousand tons of grain harvested;
Corn: harvested from an area of 1,376.7 thousand hectares with a yield of 67.4 centners per hectare, with a total harvest of 9,282 thousand tons;
Barley: harvested from an area of 1,504.5 thousand hectares with a yield of 39.0 centners per hectare, with a total harvest of 5,863 thousand tons;
Peas: harvested from 154.4 thousand hectares with a yield of 25.7 c/ha, with a total harvest of 396.8 thousand tons;
Buckwheat: harvested from 136.6 thousand hectares with a yield of 14.9 c/ha, with a total harvest of 203.6 thousand tons;
Millet: threshed from an area of 77.4 thousand hectares with a yield of 21.0 c/ha, harvested 162.4 thousand tons;
Other grains and pulses: 331.2 thousand hectares were threshed, with a harvest of 961.6 thousand tons.
Agricultural producers in Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy and Khmelnytsky regions harvested more than 2 million tons of grain in each of them. In Odesa, Vinnytsia and Dnipro regions, the harvest exceeded 3 million tons. Zaporizhzhia region has also completed grain harvesting.

Oilseeds were harvested on an area of 7,395 thousand hectares, yielding 18,457 thousand tons, including

Sunflower: harvested on an area of 4,357.5 thousand hectares with a yield of 23.4 centners per hectare, with 10,211 thousand tons of seeds harvested;
Soybeans: harvested on an area of 1,641.4 thousand hectares with a yield of 25.8 cwt/ha, harvested 4,241 thousand tons;
Rapeseed: 1,396 thousand hectares were harvested with a yield of 28.7 c/ha, and 4,005 thousand tons of seeds were harvested.
In addition, sugar beet was dug on an area of 125.3 thousand hectares, 5,912 thousand tons of sweet roots were harvested with a yield of 471.9 centners per hectare. Ukrainian agrarians continue to work on harvesting and processing, increasing the weight of the national contribution to the global production of grains and oilseeds.
