Ukrposhta has announced the launch of a new postage stamp "Cross of Military Merit" dedicated to military awards. The stamp is available at all Ukrposhta offices and can be purchased online.

This was announced by Igor Smelyansky, CEO of Ukrposhta.

"During the full-scale war, thousands of our military were awarded numerous military awards. However, the main reward for them is our gratitude for their deeds and the opportunity to live in an independent, though imperfect, but free Ukraine," Smelyansky said.

According to him, military insignia and orders recognize the best among the best. That is why Ukrposhta decided to issue the first stamp dedicated to the military award, the Cross of Military Merit.

"This award of the President of Ukraine is given to the bravest and most courageous. It belongs to people who perform heroic deeds in conditions of extreme danger or achieve impressive success in leading troops," emphasized Smelyansky.

Add to this the names of the four servicemen who have received this military award, namely Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, Daria Mazurenko, Oleksandr Syrskyi, Kyrylo Budanov and Dmytro Kotsiubailo (posthumously).

"We understand that for every family, it is their men and women who serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine who are the real heroes. Thanks to this stamp, you can reward or send congratulations to your defenders by sending a card or letter to their unit or to the front line. We can confidently say that this is one of the most symbolic and pleasant gifts for our defenders during heavy battles," emphasized Smelyansky.
