Ukrainian families continue to actively use the eHouse program to purchase housing on favorable terms. According to official data from the Ministry of Economy, 4,365 Ukrainian families have received loans for the purchase of housing through this program, totaling UAH 6.3 billion.
The eOselya mass mortgage program, launched in August, already has more than 200 new loans every week. Last week, 189 families received loans worth almost UAH 300 million under this program.
According to the statistics for the last week, the loans were distributed as follows:
It is noted that the most popular forms of housing chosen by Ukrainians were secondary housing (138 loans) and housing from developers (47 loans). Four Ukrainians took out loans to purchase apartments under construction.
In terms of regional distribution, most mortgage loans were granted to residents of Kyiv region (48), Kyiv city (31), Odesa (15), Lviv (14) and Vinnytsia (12).
The "eHouse" program is targeted at both representatives of certain professions and citizens who do not have their own housing or want to improve their living conditions. Contract servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, teachers, doctors and scientists are entitled to a preferential rate of 3% per annum. For other categories, such as combatants, veterans, citizens without housing and others, the mortgage rate is 7% per annum.
The Ministry of Economy emphasizes that the eHouse program is aimed at supporting the primary housing market by allowing loans to be granted for the purchase of apartments in new buildings or houses that are no older than 3 years. This stimulates the development of the construction and related sectors of the economy, contributing to the growth of housing affordability for Ukrainians.
