Today, artificial intelligence and all its related areas are considered to be the most popular areas for investment in the IT M&A market: machine learning, business process automation, and much more, says Kostiantyn Vasyuk, executive director of the IT Ukraine Association. Analysts are closely monitoring companies specializing in defense technologies, cyber defense, and cybersecurity, as Ukraine is a leader in these areas.

At the Recovery Conference in London, the uniqueness of IT solutions of Ukrainian companies in the Healthtech, Agrotech, and Fintech industries was noted. The demand for the integration of IT solutions in medicine, education and industry is growing, increasing investors' interest in companies that can offer relevant technical innovations.

In Ukraine, investors are currently interested in both service and product companies. Examples of successful projects include Ajax, Preply, Gitlab, and others that have proven themselves in the international market and increased interest in Ukrainian companies.

New technologies and solutions with clear prospects are also attracting the attention of investors, particularly in areas such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, and commercial software.

Military tech is gaining particular attention, as the defense technology sector offers many interesting products. The Brave1 program, which supports developments in DefenseTech and was launched in Ukraine, confirms the popularity of this area.

Investors are interested in acquiring companies with strong differentiators, deep competencies, and a stable customer base. Certain differentiators can be an industrial focus in the Life Sciences or Automotive sectors, or high technological expertise in the areas of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and Salesforce.

The development of technology and innovative solutions is driving investor interest in the Ukrainian market. Ukrainian tech companies are gaining more and more recognition in the world and are objectively attractive for attracting investment.
