A new structural unit, the Port Stations Operator branch, has been launched in the Ukrzaliznytsia system, as announced during a meeting of company representatives with grain market participants on November 23, Rail.Insider reports.
The branch consists of the staff of the Directorate for Work with Port Stations (DN-5) of the regional branch of Odesa Railways. According to Ivan Yemets, director of the new division, the main mission of the branch is to ensure efficient rail logistics in ports.
The branch includes port stations such as Odesa-Port, Chornomorsk-Port, Poromna (Tairovo village), Berehova (Pivdennyi port), Izmail, Mykolaiv-Vantazhnyi, Zhovtneva (Olvia port, Mykolaiv) and Kherson.
"Our priorities include organizing the processes of wagon feeding/cleaning, developing new services within the branch, optimizing costs associated with technological processes, and achieving better financial results for our division," said Yemets.
