Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) is introducing a new service aimed at military personnel that allows them to purchase a train travel document even if the available tickets are already sold out.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, this initiative is intended to facilitate the convenience of military personnel who may face unexpected travel, such as for medical treatment, business trips, or to visit family during a long-awaited vacation, even when tickets are no longer available.

Yevhen Lyashchenko, Chairman of the Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, emphasized that military personnel can now book travel online on a special portal, allowing them to book tickets for 17 trains that are popular among them.

The process of ordering tickets for servicemen on the portal requires submitting an application no later than 6 hours before the train departure. Passengers must also redeem their tickets at the ticket office no later than 1 hour before departure.

This innovative approach allows military personnel to easily access trains, including those that run to cities that are most popular with this category, especially those close to combat zones.
